Feature Article: Rest and Rejuvenation

Connect and Grow Magazine- Edition 10 June - July 2024

Feeling incredible inside and out.

Full of energy, clarity, and enjoyment of life!

Rest and Rejuvenation: what do those words mean to you? How can these be an essential part of your business?

I remember that about six years ago, they were buzzwords. Many retreats offered complete rest and Rejuvenation, but then we had a pandemic, and everything was put on hold. Slowly, the retreats are coming back.

A retreat sounds like a lot of fun and would help; however, given the current cost of living, many people need help financially, and a retreat is a luxury outside their budget.

Attending a wellbeing retreat helps you relax and refocus on yourself and your self-care. However, if you cannot afford it, there are other ways to get the benefits without the cost as a starting point. Doing something for yourself and then saving up for a retreat is something you could consider.

What if?

What if I told you that having a massage or pampering yourself, such as burning a nice candle with a scent you enjoy while bathing and Rejuvenating that helps your muscles relax, would make a massive difference in your overall health and Wellbeing? Doing this also lets you notice different ways to enjoy your life without sacrificing anything. Would you do it?

Stress, anxiety, and worry appear to be a part of life now, especially as we hear about the price of everything going up and have no sight of relief. Many people are applying for a rental property they know they must fight for. We are also seeing huge companies worldwide closing their doors or, at the very least, letting people go. All of this takes its toll on your body.

One of the ways you can focus on your wellness in your life is by using this approach as a reminder:

W - Wellbeing

E - Energy

L - Love

L - Laughter

N - Now, present in this moment

E - Empowering

S - Sunshine

S - Success.

 Wellness

Balance-centred and energy.

Take a minute to close your eyes and ask yourself what wellness means to me?

Let's break it down a little more.

Wellbeing. What does Wellbeing mean to you? What does it look like in your life? Knowing what Wellbeing means can help you identify whether you care for yourself.

Energy. How much energy do you have? Where do you get your energy from? Could you do it with more energy? The level of energy that you have is essential to being able to concentrate, to be active and enjoy your life.

Love. Do you love who you are? Do you love your life? Could you do more things that you love? Love is an essential part of life. Having self-love and then love for your life is also important.

Laughter. How often do you laugh? Laughter makes you feel good, and having something that makes you laugh at least once daily is essential.

Now. Being completely present in the here and now is critical to having a balanced life that empowers your overall health and Wellbeing.

Empower. Most people want to feel empowered in their lives. When you feel in control of as much of your life as possible, you are confident and able to make informed decisions.

Sunshine. The sun is full of vitamin D, so it is essential to ensure that you are protecting your skin when outside from sunburn; however, a little bit of sunshine and fresh air every day is critical for your

Success is something that most people if not everyone, want in their lives. Knowing where in your life you are successful helps you create more opportunities to be successful.

Using the right words to represent wellness is a fun way of ensuring that you have routines and habits that bring you a sense of Wellbeing as often as possible.

For those who run a business, Well-Being is integral to meeting business compliance requirements in Australia. Business wellness also involves how your business operates and your business processes; I have developed strategies I offer to businesses around their framework and processes.

If you have a business, taking time to rest and rejuvenate your staff is key for the long-term enjoyment of life and the workplace.

You deserve to enjoy your life and the very best it can be.
